I read about them on Average Joe's Handgun Blog and thought I would give them a try- Like Joe, when I emailed them I also got a response from the company president Alan.
Alan was very easy to chat with via email, and was very friendly and professional throughout the entire transaction. Also, their customer service is top notch. Alan requested that due to their security issues, I mail them a check. I don't mind doing such things, so I shot a check in the mail the following day. When I checked my computer, I saw Alan had emailed me confirming he had put my holsters in the mail that same day.
when they arrived, he even included a free mag carrier for my 'inconvenience' of ordering with a check! It was completely unnecessary on Alan's part- but I think it shows the quality of business man he is, and the faith he has in his product.
I ordered 2 holsters: one for my citadel cs (officers sized 1911) and another for my mother's newly acquired ruger LCP (review forthcoming- but initial opinions are positive!).
My holster and the dual mag carrier have been worn IWB for the last 2 days. The citadel being carried over my appendix, and the mag carrier being worn over my left kidney. In the photo, originally I had 2 mags in the carrier, but quickly realized that the slots were well sized for a surefire 6p sized light- either bezel up or down. Once I realized that, I threw a solarforce L2 in the first pocket and away I went.
The holsters didn't slip or move- however for men using this holster, be cognizant of using the restroom, as you have no clip securing your gadgets to your belt! I didn't drop any stuff- but it is definitely something you realize as soon as you switch to a clipless IWB holster.
I wore the holster / mag pouch through daily activities with no issue- I tried jumping and twisting and the holster remained solid in my beltline.
My mom said hers did shift slightly throughout the day- but she doesn't wear a belt. However, it is worth noting that this is the first IWB holster that my mom has used comfortably. Ladies take note of the Remora as a viable holster option for some forms of dress.
all in all- I give these holsters a big thumbs up- especially for 25 bucks a pop!

I was a sceptic until I got it in the mail yesterday... I tried the Remora Holster out with my Glock 36 in my jeans, running shorts (with a drawstring), and dress pants yesterday, and I swear to you, the holster STAYS PUT! I couldn't believe how well it stays in place with no clip, and I could conceal my pistol wearing nothing but a t-shirt! It's the best $25 you could spend if you CCW...
totally agreed Mwuagi- thanks for commenting!
Have seen, held and felt their sample. The sticky holster it is no comparison to the Remora Holster by any means.
Agree with anonymous! Not near the holster as the Remora.Have been wearing mine for quite a while and is now my holster of choice.
Guys- I appreciate a good discourse- but I don't want this thread to devolve into issues between prior business partners. I'm going to snip a comment here and there if I think it is either inflammatory, or just a sales pitch.
This is not meant to be offensive, my blog just won't be a forum for it.
When I got my Remora, I noticed that it had these wrinkles or warps in it and the mouth kinda curled inward. So I went to my local store and asked to see another. It also had these strange wrinkles or waves. it almost seemed like the materials were not bonded together or the foam was separating or something.
It seems to work just fine, but for my hard earned money, it seems the quality could be a bit better.
I found the Sticky holster that was mentioned and ordered one to see if they are any better in the quality arena.
hmmmm. I had no waves in mine. Interesting.
The problem with mine, which was for my j-frame, was that the material was bunching up on the top as previously mentioned. When I clicked on the bigger version of your pictures, they were clearly seen at the top right side of you holster for your 1911. They weren't as extreme as mine. other then that I do like it. But For now I've been using my new Sticky. so far so good.
ah. I follow now. thanks for clarifying. I'll keep an eye on mine to see how it changes with use.
I picked one up at a gun show 2 weeks ago...best $25 I've spent in a long time. Best of all the same holster fits both of my carry weapons, bodyguard .38 revolver and my M&P 9 compact. always comfortable, never moves. Great product
thanks for commenting grumpy!
It worked for you, be happy.
Just be aware that they don't work for everyone.
When I got my REMORA SERIES 6 HOLSTER (IWB)I . was excited to try it out, so I wore it on my daily morning walk. BIG MISTAKE!
I take my walk wearing only a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. I started my walk with my belt on the loop I would wear if I was not carrying. That got me about a quarter of a block before I felt my holster & weapon slipping down. So I told myself, O.K. no problem, I will just adjust my belt one more loop tighter. About another half a block & everything started slipping down again. Now I am worried, but I have one more loop on my belt to tighten, so I gave it another try.
Well this time I got about a quarter of a mile, when I noticed my problem was back.
It seems my holster (and guess what, my gun too) were becoming saturated with perspiration and slipping down the inside of my pants.
So I finished my walk having to hold my hand on my "concealed carry holster" all the way home, to prevent it from falling out of my pants and onto the ground. I'm sure no one was smart enough to realize that I was holding my gun (RIGHT), So much for concealability.
p.s. I ordered the 'SWEAT SHIELD". That is a complete mis-nomer. all the sweat shield is , is about an eighth of an inch of extra material that is supposed to keep the rear of your slide from getting wet. Not much use when the entire holster gets saturated with perspiration.
Maybe this holster can work for some one in a different situation, like working all day in an air conditioned office, or in a snow storm in the north west, but here in the southwest where the normal temperature is over 100 degrees, GOOD LUCK.
For me I am just out $30 bucks for a useless holster and another $10 bucks for a useless "SWEAT SHEILD"
Just my two cents worth & something to think about.
Gimie itnow
I'm sorry you had such a negative experience. I have literally thrown people out of bars, tussled, and rolled with this holster with ZERO issues.
My holster wear is not lounging in an air conditioned office- maybe they have switched material since I ordered mine? My sweat shield (for my full sized 1911 remora) was significant and functional.
I'm carry over the appendix. where are you carrying?
