I have never been one to have my finger on the pulse of the gun market. I never have prior knowledge, nor do I pretend to be a marketing genius.
However- I think there is a large gap in the handgun market for a quality 1911 conversion kit that isn't excessively priced (marvel & kimber), associated with marginal customer support (ceiner), out of production (colt) and could really rival the remaining competition (advantage arms). I think CMMG could make that kit.
Will it happen? Who knows. I've pestered them via email but the response, though cordial and from the engineering dept, could neither confirm nor deny any plans for such a kit.
Here's to hoping this happens.
