Thanksgiving was nice, and also uneventful. I changed out the Cav Arms receiver on the 9mm AR for an older Essential Arms one- the Cav does much better with standard 223 mags, and the 9mm sten mags work great in the EA- so that switch is probably permanent.
biggest problem now is keeping enough 9mm ammo on hand and having enough small pistol primers around. It is dangerously easy to blow through several hundred rounds at the range with this thing in a giddy blur.
For those more concerned with rationing ammo, I would recommend NOT having 10 magazines, and definitely NOT trying to hunt down more NYS compliant ones all the time. . .
